About Dr. Linhorst
I was first drawn to a career in health care when I started working as a certified nursing assistant while in high school. The satisfaction I felt by helping people in this position ultimately led me to medical school and to become a physician. I remember seeing my first cesarean section as a medical student. That amazing experience is what put me on the path to obstetrics and gynecology.
I feel very strongly about involving patients in the decisions related to their care. Whether it’s discussing preventative steps to maintain optimal health or making decisions about the best course of treatment or surgery, I want my patients to play an active role in understanding and making these decisions
Women’s health is a very intimate field, and I think it’s important to get to know my patients in order to provide them with excellent care. I spend time talking about things that may not be directly related to their care or symptoms in order to develop a relationship based on trust and respect. Discussions often involve sensitive topics, and I want patients to be able to have an open dialogue with me and share their concerns without worry of judgment.
The field of obstetrics and gynecology is diverse and I enjoy providing women care that spans the range of this specialty. From in-office procedures to minimally invasive gynecological surgery, routine to high-risk obstetrics, contraception to help with fertility, and ultimately the transition into menopause, I am passionate about providing all women with quality care.
Working alongside my colleagues at Mile High is a privilege. We offer a breadth of expertise and experience that spans decades. We truly work as a team and our patients benefit from this collaborative approach. It has also been a privilege to help train future physicians by teaching medical students on their clinical rotations as well as residents at Rose Medical Center.
I believe that providing high quality care means actively engaging my patients in the decision-making process.
