Fertility Planning

Being aware of your fertility is the first step in preparing to conceive.  We work hard to create a safe, caring, and private space for you to receive top-of-the-line fertility services. An important part of fertility planning is recording signals to determine when you are most likely to get pregnant. Our specialists provide the testing you need to determine your optimal timeframe for conceiving.

When you decide to get pregnant, you may run into challenges with fertility. Over 6 million women struggle to get pregnant. If you are one of them – you’re not alone. Many things contribute to infertility, like genetics, hormone imbalances, or health problems. We can work with you to determine the level of infertility and create a treatment plan based on your family planning goals.

Pregnancy Management

Pregnancy management is a system that allows you to create a plan for your pregnancy, delivery, and postnatal care. Many women utilize this service to connect them with the right providers and specialists, and to have an advocate during the birthing process. Mile High’s pregnancy management services can help you make important birthing decisions and simplify family planning.

Prenatal Care

While you are pregnant, you should receive regular prenatal care. This is where your care team of doctors, nurses, or midwives will monitor your baby’s progress and development, and make sure that any potential issues are identified and addressed as quickly as possible. Prenatal care visits typically occur monthly for most of your pregnancy, but will increase closer to your due date.

Ultrasounds are useful in detecting and diagnosing a number of women’s health problems or monitoring a baby during pregnancy. They are a non-invasive tool that involves using sound waves to produce pictures of the inside of your body. It is a low-risk procedure.

Factors that Impact Fertility

If you are experiencing fertility issues, it’s important to know that you’re not part of a small population. Fertility is impacted by virtually anything that goes on in the human body and its environment, such as age, hormones, lifestyle, genetics, and even chance.

No one can predict what their fertility journey is going to look like, but there are different factors that you should be aware of that can cause infertility:

  • Ovulation disorders
  • Early menopause or primary ovarian insufficiency
  • Polycystic ovarian syndrome
  • Abnormalities in the cervix or uterus
  • Endometriosis
  • Cancer treatment
  • Damage to the fallopian tubes

Do you still have questions about our infertility services?

Does stress cause infertility?

In short, no. While stress can have a significant impact on your overall health, including your menstrual health or ability to produce eggs or sperm, it does not solely determine whether or not someone is fertile.

Can I prevent infertility?

Like many other health conditions, there are things you can do to lessen your chances of becoming infertile. Living a healthy lifestyle, being aware of the side effects of medications, getting regularly checked for sexually transmitted diseases, and having a routine physical are all examples of preventative measures.

Is infertility curable?

There are many treatments that can help combat infertility. While no one treatment will work for everyone, there are proven methods that can increase a woman’s chances of becoming pregnant. See above for some of our treatment options.

How is infertility diagnosed?

A doctor will usually do a thorough medical exam, review your medical history, and perform a series of tests to determine fertility.

Does fertility decrease with age?

Naturally, when women age their fertility decreases. After age 35, female fertility decreases significantly. However, this does not mean that older women cannot get pregnant – they just may experience more complications, have a higher risk of miscarriage, and take longer to conceive.
